Overview
PiTV turns a Raspberry Pi into a media server for DVB-T2 terrestrial TV. The TV signal is received, distributed via DLNA over the local network and accessible from any device in the house — smartphone, tablet, TV, PC — with no extra cabling.
KODI manages the media library and the interface, Samba makes the recorded content available as a network folder.
Use case
The bedroom TV has no built-in tuner. Instead of buying a set-top box, the Raspberry Pi receives the signal and streams it over the network: every device can tune in, watch live or access the recordings.
